Welcome to Stonybrook Estate, Far North district of New Zealand , where we grow many varieties of Calla lillies, Satsuma Mandarin's, Harward late Orange's and Merlot & Syrah Wine Grape. We have produced over 6000 Zantadeschia's (Callas) flowers with Gold, Yellow, Burgundy and Pink hues, this season we are planting 20,000 tubers for grow-on and flowers.
We have achieved export certification and supply the local and sell direct for events such as weddings etc.These will be available again for direct sales in the first quarter of 2005. Callas are the flower of choice meaning Long Life and Prosperity. We are fortunate to be able to grow the most brilliant colours due to the high levels of strong sunlight and UV in Northland. All or growing beds are above ground so the flowers and bulbs are totally free from disease as well as a regular low toxicity spray program to handle flying insects such as thrips which score the inner flower. We grow over 6000 Kg of spray free Satsuma Mandarins due for picking mid year and sell direct to retailers and the public. New plantings include Yen Ben Lemons, Berre Limes, Lemonades and Kaffir Limes.
